Universal Boatyard
A legacy of excellence in Marine services
Universal Boatyard was established as a specialized division of Universal Enterprises following its successful delivery of docking and marine support services for the resort fleet operated by Universal. To support its growth and enhance its operational capabilities, the boatyard was relocated to K. Thilafushi Industrial Island, enabling the company to expand its services and serve a broader customer base.
Strategically situated in the southern corner of K. Thilafushi, Universal Boatyard enjoys convenient shoreline access and an ideal location for marine operations. The facility has the capacity to dry dock and service up to 20 medium-sized pleasure craft daily, ensuring efficient turnaround times and reliable service delivery. Our team of highly skilled craftsmen, technicians, and marine specialists is fully trained and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and workmanship while consistently meeting customer deadlines.
As a pioneer in sustainable marine operations, Universal Boatyard is proud to be among the first shipyards in the Maldives to operate predominantly on renewable energy, with approximately 90% of its energy requirements powered by renewable sources. This commitment reflects our dedication to environmental responsibility, operational efficiency, and supporting the Maldives' transition towards a greener future.
Supported by the extensive resources and expertise of our parent company, Universal Enterprises, Universal Boatyard provides comprehensive marine engineering, technical support, and vessel repair solutions. Our services include dry docking, maintenance, refurbishment, vessel modifications, and afloat repairs for a diverse range of marine vessels.
We specialize in the design and construction of diving and excursion boats, as well as high-performance passenger transport speedboats tailored to the demanding requirements of the Maldivian maritime industry.
